DJ Haley is a seven-foot tall, former basketball player and founder of Apply Recover. He received his bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and a masters in Consumer Decision-Making from the University of Southern California (USC). He's also part of the most-winningest team at VCU, winning two championships in three years including a trip to the 2011 Final Four.
His inspiration for Apply Recover comes from his experience in trying to return to basketball, unfortunately rupturing his Achilles in his first game back and spending 2 years in recovery. During this time, he educated himself in what an athlete can do to reduce inflammation and deal with the stresses of sport, which ultimately translated into the athlete standard and a newfound passion.
DJ's goal is to encourage others to compete and play for as long as they can by educating them on the symbiotic relationship between the body and mind, and to develop objective measures and data frameworks to supplement fantastic service and human-first, algorithm-second recovery solutions.
Treveon Graham is a professional basketball player of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and cofounder of Apply Recover.
After getting into the NBA and seeing the many struggles players go through with the stresses of the game, he decided to team up with his partner DJ Haley to create a company that would allow athletes to play for as long as they can, something he's very interested in doing himself. Tre's passion for Apply Recover is for the company to help athletes recover from both the physical and mental aspects of the game.
His vision is for all athletes, regardless of level or playing field, to have a place to go when they have any ailments.
